Trellis celebrates a year of change.

Leading nonprofit housing organization Trellis Co. and Trellis Mgmt. (formerly Community Housing Development Corporation and BDC Management) have operated under their new names for one year, effective August 12, 2020. Twelve months in the making, the companies have strived for the rebrand to reflect the evolution of becoming a more professional and tech-driven company.

Since its inception over 30 years ago, Trellis has grown considerably from their former entities of Community Housing Development Corporation and BDC Management. The companies currently own and manage over 4,000 multi-family units in 44 apartment communities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Additionally, the companies consistently maintain a pipeline of innovative projects in various stages of the development process.

The two companies of over 130 employees gathered to celebrate a year of their new identity and immense change. By streamlining development and management functions, employees have experienced opportunities to grow, learn, and excel within a culture that promotes teamwork and high performance. Both companies remain focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents and yielding positive outcomes for their partners, securing their leadership role in the affordable housing industry.
