Trellis Co. and Trellis Management are excited to announce the opening of Belfry Apartments, a transformative affordable rental community in South Minneapolis. Developed by Trellis Co and managed by Trellis Management, Belfry Apartments opened it’s doors December 15th, 2023, providing homes and opportunity to the community near George Floyd Square.

Belfry Apartments is a remarkable fusion of history and modernity. The development encompasses two distinctive structures—the meticulously restored and historic Calvary Lutheran Church and a newly constructed building, harmoniously melding the old with the new. This combination creates a unique and inspiring living environment for residents.

With a total of 41 thoughtfully designed apartments, Belfry Apartments offers a range of housing options to cater to various lifestyles. Our community features a variety of layouts, including Studio, Alcove, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, as well as a spacious 4-bedroom option for larger an even larger household.

Affordability and Supportive Housing

Affordability is at the core of Belfry Apartments’ mission. We are honored to collaborate with Simpson Housing Services to offer supportive housing options, with coordinated entry through the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA). All apartments are tax credit funded and are DEEPLY AFFORDABLE, renting at 30% of resident income ensuring that quality housing is accessible to all.
